Development
Developed in about 2 days for LOVE Jam 2024. Base code was ripped from an unfinished Vampire Survivors clone, most of the code for that is still lying around unused. Art was originally meant to be placeholder but left in as I procrastinated all week and only ended up working on this on the final Saturday and Sunday. Made the music myself using my guitar and a cool amp-in-a-pedal-meets-audio-interface I've been playing around with. This was a waste of time :). The game barely implements the theme, it does have an interface so maybe that counts...
Controls
Standard top-down shooter mouse and keyboard controls:

How to Play
Before Wave
Interact with the the Shrine and peruse the shop for items and upgrades. When purchasing helpers you have the opportunity to place them where you want. When you're ready, select "Next Wave".
During Wave
Kill advancing enemies before they attack your Shrine. Collect fragments of their slime to feed your shrine and inexplicably earn money.
Helpers
Wall: A Sturdy wall. Useful for keeping slimes from reaching important Shrines
Turret: An autonomous turret equipped with auto-targetting capabilities. Looks nothing like a turret
Mouse: A helpful creature that only wants to retrieve slime fragments for your benefit. The shopkeeper will only ever let you have one of these little critters.
Known Bugs
- Upgrades only affect newly placed entities
- Mouse speed upgrade doesn't do anything
- Music doesn't loop properly
- Music doesn't always fade out cleanly
